Shabelle is a first-year clinical psychology PhD student. She graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduation, she worked at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where her research primarily focused on improving health outcomes for populations with limited access to care. Shabelle is particularly interested in adapting meaning-centered psychotherapy for Latino cancer patients and enhancing access to psychosocial support for minority individuals affected by cancer. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
