Emma Heitkamp, BA

Emma is an alum of the University of Arizona and majored in honors psychological sciences with a pre-health thematic minor. She plans to pursue a career in healthcare, working directly with patients. She loved being a part of the lab because she got to help with research involving her two greatest research interests: cancer and the quality of life of cancer patients. She is highly involved in and passionate about a non-profit organization on campus known as Camp Kesem at University of Arizona. They work year-round to provide a free summer camp for kids whose parents have been affected by cancer. Camp Kesem supports children through and beyond a parent’s cancer journey. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as her Border Collie (Gryffin). She loves taking him on runs/walks/hikes!
